How to Use V2Ray: The Same 4 Steps on Every Platform

Get the overall picture here first, then follow the detailed guide for your system. No need to learn any technical terms up front — the whole process is about as simple as typing in a Wi-Fi password.

General Flow

Download → Install → Import Subscription → Connect

The exact steps differ across the four platforms, but the overall process is identical — remember this main flow first.

  1. Download the Client for Your System

    Open the Download page and click the download for your system (Windows / macOS / Android / Linux). All links point to the current latest version — no sign-up or payment required.

  2. Install and Open the Client

    On Windows / macOS, double-click the installer and follow the prompts. On Android, allow "Install unknown apps" and install the APK directly. After first launch, the client will live in your system tray or menu bar.

  3. Paste Your Subscription Link and Update

    Find the "Subscription" or "Server" settings in the client, paste the subscription link you were given, then tap "Update" to pull the node list. The subscription link comes from your service provider — this site doesn't provide or sell subscription services.

  4. Pick a Node and Connect

    Pick any node from the list (lower latency numbers are better), then tap the connect button on the main screen — the icon turning to "Connected" means it worked.

  5. Verify by Opening a Web Page

    Open your browser and visit any site that normally doesn't load. If it loads fine, the whole setup is working — you're ready to go.
